Year End Accountant

We're looking for a motivated Accountant to prepare high-quality accounts for micro and small businesses while delivering outstanding client service. You'll play an important role in supporting our clients' growth and helping us continue to build a modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, thrives on independence, and has no desire to manage a team. We're looking for someone who is intellectually curious, enjoys analysing financial information to identify risks and opportunities, and is always looking for better ways of working. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where technology and innovation are part of everyday life.

What you'll do

• Prepare Limited Company Accounts (FRS 105 & FRS 102 (1A))

• Prepare Corporation Tax Returns (CT600)

• Prepare Partnership Accounts

• Prepare Sole Trader Accounts

• Complete Self Assessment Tax Returns

• File Confirmation Statements

• Support clients with profit extraction and tax planning

Essential

• AAT Level 4, ACA or ACCA qualified

• At least 4 years' practice experience

• Proven ability to work independently

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and priorities

• Confident communicating directly with clients

Our clients

A varied portfolio of Limited Companies, individuals and sole traders across a wide range of industries.

Working pattern

Hybrid working based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Core office hours are 10:00am–2:00pm, giving you flexibility around the rest of your working day.

Salary & Benefits

£29,000 - £37,000, depending on the size of your client portfolio, giving you the opportunity to grow your role and earnings over time.
